Internal Complaints Committee (WOMEN'S GRIEVANCE CELL)

As per University Grant Commission (Prevention,Prohibition& Redressal of Sexual Harassment of Women employee and students in Higher Educational Institutions) Regulations,2013.

The Internal Complaint Committee is an educational resource as well as a complaint redressal mechanism for the members of faculty, staff and students of the Institute. Following are the objectives of ICC.

  • To provide a neutral, confidential and supportive environment for members of the campus community who may have been sexually harassed.
  • To advice complainants of means of resolution as specified by the legislation.
  • To ensure fair and timely resolution of sexual harassment complaints.
  • To provide counselling and support services on campus.
  • To ensure that students, faculty and staff are provided with current and comprehensive materials on sexual harassment.
  • To promote awareness about sexual harassment through educational initiatives that encourages and fosters a respectful and safe campus environment.
  • To develop healthy atmosphere for mutual learning.

Entrepreneurship Development Cell

Objectives

  • To inculcate principles of professional ethics and responsibilities in individuals.

The competitive exam cell has been established to motivate students to appear for various competitive exams.

The objectives of this cell are:

  • Motivation:To motivate students to pursue prospective career in public and private sector.
  • Enlightenment: To inform by circulation of literature, brochure and other means about various competitive examinations.
  • Guidance: To guide students for competitive examinations like UPSC, MPSC, GATE, GRE, TOEFL, GMAT, CAT, Defence services, Banks, Railways, Public sectors and corporate, etc.
  • Grooming: To conduct seminars and workshops on preparing for facing group discussions and personal interviews.
  • Training:To train students in communication skills (verbal and non-verbal) by conducting mock interviews.

The institute has applied for Karmaveer Bahurao Patil Earn and Learn Scheme with the objective of supporting economically poor students to earn some money so that they can support themselves to fulfill their basic needs to some extent. Late G.N.Sapkal college of engineering run this scheme successfully from Last 2 years

Our institute offers to students work under Earn and Learn scheme resulting into huge response. These students have been allocated to various work places like girls hostel, boys hostel, gymnasium, T & P office, library and various departments of institute.

All enrolled students have appreciated the Earn and Learn Scheme. Late G.N.Sapkal College of Engineering is very thankful for the support given by Savitribai Phule Pune University to run this scheme.

National Service Scheme is an extension dimension to the higher education system to orient the student youth to community service while they are studying in educational institutions, under the aegis of Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Govt. of India. The NSS refines personality through exposure with the various segments of the society and community service.

Late G.N.Sapkal College of engineering is pleased to inform all the girl students and women employees of Late G.N.Sapkal College of engineering that the Women Grievances Cell has set up the following objectives and functions for maintaining the healthy and safe environment for girls & women on campus. So all the girls & women employees may approach the cell members to resolve their complaints if any and in turn to satisfy the cell objectives.

Objective of the cell:

With the objective to promote higher education awareness among the students and motivate them for pursuing higher education, this cell is formed. Higher Studies is always seen as a stepping stone for bright career. The students should be capable of applying their knowledge and skills based on the forefront of science in the subject areas of their studies which will help them to satisfy employability needs of corporate and other sectors.

The higher studies provide a platform through which one can enhance the capability to identify, formulate and handle scientifically complex problems, as well as to critically evaluate information and to formulate possible solutions. One can go for research work, implement their ideas and bring innovations to the society.


Functions of Higher Studies Cell:

  • To create a database regarding opportunities for higher studies within the country and abroad along with qualifying examinations, admission prerequisites, norms, deadlines, websites etc.

  • To create and regularly update lesson with our alumni who are undergoing higher studies in reputed institutes. To built a student community to assist, support, guide and help outgoing students for admissions and other related matters.

  • To provide adequate references in the form of books, CD’s, for preparation of competitive entrance examination such as GATE, GRE, CAT, GMAT, TOEFL etc.

  • To seek willingness/career options from each student after admission to engineering course. Necessary guidance and counselling in this regard can be provided. To create an environment conductive for higher studies.

  • To arrange various guest lectures, seminars of various career and counselling agencies for higher studies. The special talks, group discussion with our alumni can be arranged to share their experiences and guidance.
