Spoken Tutorial

The Spoken Tutorial project is the initiative of the ‘Talk to a Teacher’ activity of the National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology (ICT), launched by the Ministry of Human Resources and Development, Government of India. The Spoken Tutorial project is being developed by IIT Bombay for MHRD, Government of India.

Under this project department of computer Engineering has been conducted JAVA, C++, PHP & MySQL training workshops and certification examinations for SE, TE and BE students.Maximum students those who pass online test have been awarded by the certificate from IIT Bombay.

Cyber Club

On 5th Jan, 2017 cyber club is inaugurated in computer department. The aim of this club is as follows:

  • How to be safe Online.
  • What to watch and what not to watch on Internet.
  • To protect private information.
  • Stand up to cyber bullying.



NPTEL (National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning) is a joint initiative of the IITs and IISc. This project is funded by MHRD Government of India. NPTEL provides E-learning through online Web and Video courses various streams. It has been offering self-study courses across engineering, humanities and science streams for more than a decade. From March 2014 NPTEL has been offering online certification for its courses, the highlight being the certification exam through which the student gets an opportunity to earn a certificate form the IITs!

To take this initiative forward and to encourage more students to participate in this initiative, our college (Late G. N. Sapkal College of Engineering) has been established as a NPTEL local chapter also created and engaged in a fruitful relationship with NPTEL.More than 150 students and faculty benefited from this initiative.
